The year 2019, without any iota of doubt, has opened doors to the revelation of more underground artistes in the Nigerian music industry.
Many up and coming artistes, who have been putting in so much work in their artistry, have succeeded in creating a new paradigm shift for themselves.
The tales and struggles of ‘Yet-to-be-blown’ up and coming artistes in Nigeria can be likened to an average University Graduate in Nigeria, who finished school with a Second Class Upper CGDP, moves ahead to Nysc, after one year, is out in the labour market looking for a befitting job. In some cases, the struggle in the labor market could get so easy for some, while most graduates would struggle for years before seeing the light at the end of the tunnel.
Each new day, there are a handful of up and coming musicians releasing songs, reaching out to new audience, pushing the promotions by themselves, with the belief that they hit stardom. Thanks to Social media which has played a vital role in showcasing these acts to the world beyond their terrain.
This year, the likes of Oxlade, Joeboy, Fireboy, Rema, etc, having worked their ass out, became a massive sensation, with hit after hit, while smiling to the bank and picking awards.
Away from the stars already enjoying stardom, there is a new sheriff in town, his name is ENAMEL, with real name Giwa Hakim, an indigene of Ibadan, Oyo state. He is a South African Based Nigerian Artiste, doing the most to get his sound recognized globally.
Enamel, has been an underground Afro-pop singer doing covers, singing in Clubs, parties and shows in Johannesburg. His sound, vocals and dexterity is top of class, when analyzed constructively, can single him out as a good singer.
Enamel is currently under the management of the International Entertainment record label, More Coke Entertainment (MCE) based in South Africa.
Aside the covers he’s done which has enjoyed positive reviews, he is inching closer to releasing his first official single and we can’t wait to document his artistry journey.
