The Nigerian Medical Association (NMA) Akwa Ibom State Branch has felicitated with the government and people of Akwa Ibom State on the thirty second anniversary of it’s statehood.
In a message signed by the state chairman of the association Dr Nsikak Nyoyoko, FWACS, the NMA commended His Excellency, Deacon Udom Emmanuel on the various policies of his administration aimed at improving health care delivery in the state.
The NMA noted particularly the setting up of Akwa Ibom State Primary Health Care Agency; renovation and equipping of hospitals across the state and on-going recruitment of doctors as applaudable; and showing government’s interest in the health sector.
The NMA chairman called on well meaning individuals, citizens and corporate organizations to assist the government by reaching out to the NMA so that the goal of qualitative healthcare accross the state can be achieved at the shortest possible time.
Dr Nyoyoko promised that as the state continually pursues the aspirations of its founding fathers, the NMA will always play it’s role in making Akwa Ibom greater and healthier.
