SINZU To Serve 2 Years Jail Term For Identity Theft

Formerly known as SAUCE KID, one of Nigerian popular rapper SINZU, with real name Babalola Falemi, has been sentenced to two years in federal prison after pleading guilty to aggravated identity theft.

Reportedly, Sinzu is said to have obtained a stolen bank card numbers and identifying information for their owners.

A careful investigation revealed that he encoded the bank numbers into blank cards, changed the account PINS, and withdrawn cash from ATMs with which he had bought goods from stores in the Idaho area.

On making attempt to board a flight, Sinzu was arrested. The Police found a card encoding device and more than $6000 on him.

According to reports from Idaho Statesman, he was charged with conspiracy for having commit bank fraud. Eight counts each of bank fraud and aggravated identity theft, and possession of 15 or more fraudulent bank card.

As proceedings was underway in court, he pleaded guilty to one of the counts of aggravated identify theft and in exchange for his guilty plea, prosecutors dismissed the other counts.
