It’s the beginning of a new dawn for Africa’s literary sage, legend and mentor to the younger generation in the most popular black nation in Africa and the world at large. Yipee!
Today is Wole Soyinka’s birthday and it’s important we give him this honour of pouring out encomiums and birthday shout out to him.
Known for his writing dexterity, intellectual prowess and creative power, this year’s celebration reminds us of his historical feat, for having emerged the first African to have won the Noble prize in Literature in 1986.
Like a fine wine, he still looks refreshing in each passing year with a stint of vigour and liveliness.
His legacy as a veteran Nigerian playwright and Poet is one that will be used as an inspirational template for the generation unborn. He’s oldie but still looking Goldie with his fine grey-hair.
Prof. Soyinka has grown wiser with his reservoir of knowledge still relevant in today’s contemporary world. It seems the older he gets, the better he becomes. Happy birthday Wole Soyinka.
Here is wishing you more beautiful life…
