Aston Villa lands John Terry on a year contact.
The former England and Chelsea Captain has signed a one year contract with Aston Villa.
The 36 year old said on an interview after he was unveiled today that he turned down premier league clubs to sign for Villa which is Championship side because he did not want to play against Chelsea.
Terry joined Chelsea in 1998, played 717 league games for the Blues, scoring 40 career goals, a record for a defender, and also won his 5th premier league title in May. He has 78 caps for his country.
He turned down offers from clubs in the Premier League, China, Galatasaray, and clubs in the United State.
The deal from Aston Villa is said to be handsome, and can grow to about €4m if Villa earns promotion.
