The “Local to International” Extended Play body of work is a stint expression of Yungtril’s brilliance, mastery, skill and talent, due to the fact that he almost single-handedly created the piece he present, and as a music fancier who loves to explore and enjoy the language, form and message music speaks with, don’t hesitate, this EP is yours.

Yungtrill

Yungtrill who has added another EP to his collection of records is a Nigerian recording artist, songwriter, producer, multi-instrumentalist and performer who hails from Jos, Plateau state of Nigeria. He is signed to Trillaman Records, his own record label and has two EP’s to his name.

Just on the flip side, there is a lack of direction on this work as the poor selection of a good song to begin the EP marred the good story Mr. Trillaman is trying to tell with his art. This is just the sad tale of most underground artiste who lacks common members of a music team such as the artist and repertoire (A&R) to help rip off a good choice of song for a perfect start on a project like the EP he is presenting.

Yungtrill

Nevertheless, yungtrill with his solo effort began the work with Chuku Chuku which represent a song of acknowledgement of God’s blessing in his career, mopped with progressive lyrics like “Oluwa don bless me, no be lie,” a typical average lyrics obtained from an average Nigerian artiste. The song is a classic Caribbean beat and has rhythm control with the melody of the organ. Just a thought, this shouldn’t have been the first song for this EP.

Good Feeling, has brought the good feeling the EP requires with it. At this point, Yungtril has gotten control, and has put a tight rope on the way to go with the EP and it looks like he is ready for business. The beat is a typical Afro beat sound which is almost like where he might straw and draw up his own sound niche. He is not alone on this, he brings Mr. Kay along, who also gives his finesse into the work. It a high nod at this point.

As though things really got better, he combines both love and romance in Shole to deliver a good gig on a simple afro beat sound. It’s a cool song.

With Life is Unfair, he gets emotionally prayerful as he empathize with people who work hard but end up dying without enjoying their hustle.

At this level and control he has, he goes hard with Trillaman which is a good dance song. The song has an appeal to bring a turn up in a club if it is being played.

Who is that is a song of choice. It has a massive appeal to become the most commercially accepted track off this EP. All it needs is a good promotional plan and it will pop all over the space.

Yungtrill performing

With Head up, yungtril goes Hip pop. He is not alone on this, he has an accomplish called ‘M. Press’, who delivers a good rap on the song. This shows the versatility of Trill, how he can switch, and swerve genre and still delivers a good job on the go. It Ok is not really different from Head Up even though it a different genre. the hallelujah has a lyrics that reminds me of Terry-G’s hallelujah song. Another Afro beat sound.

Go Gaga is another great song coming off this EP. It also has an appeal to be commercially successful. Dorique who he features also has a spice of influence over the song as she deeps her voice on it to give Yungtrill a complete feel good song.

Yungtrill rounds things off with Africa ft.911 Army. The beat is Alkaida and the delivery on it is amazing. Another top song with a great commercial appeal to come off the “Local To International EP.” It’s a song to appreciate Mama Africa, the beautiful motherland, with its nature, good people and all the good things found within it. This should have been one of the songs to make the first tracks, because of the continental message it comes with.
